Is the free plan actually free or is it a trial?
Yes. The free plan is 25 concurrent devices, every feature, commercial use allowed, no credit card, and no time limit. A small PlayTours watermark stays on the player screens. The $35 plan removes the PlayTours watermark. That tier is 5 phones at once, with 20 devices in the month, so it is not a larger crowd than free. If you need more than 25 phones playing together, the $79 plan gives you 60 concurrent devices, and tiers run up to 300 and beyond — all with every feature included.
Do my players need to download an app?
No. There is nothing to download. Players join from a QR code or a short link in any browser, on any phone. They do not create an account, and IT does not have to approve an install. They are in the game within 15 seconds.
How many people can join my event?
You pay for phones in the game at the same time, not for everyone on the guest list. Free is 25 concurrent devices. Paid tiers step up from there, through 60, 120, 200, and 300. Above 300, write to us and the cap can go higher. Two people on one phone count as one device. When the cap is full, new joins wait. People already playing stay in.
What kinds of tasks can I put in the hunt?
Photo submissions, video challenges, audio tasks, QR code scans, GPS location check ins, text answers, combination locks, and quizzes. A facilitator can judge a photo, video, or answer, or AI can check a photo against a prompt you write. You do not need a different plan to use them.
How is player data handled and can we use our brand?
PlayTours is ISO 27001 certified and externally audited. Uploads are deleted automatically after about 90 days. Your logo and colours can sit on the player screens on every plan, including free. White label is not locked behind a higher tier.
